Mainstream established its APAC HQ in Singapore in 2019. The company is actively developing a pipeline of large-scale projects throughout the APAC region through its local offices in Vietnam and the Philippines. 

 

Mainstream has raised over €3 billion in project finance and employs over 300 staff across four continents. In 2021, Mainstream completed a process to find an equity partner to help finance the development and construction of its wind and solar asset pipeline. 

 

 

Summary of Role : 

 Mainstream Renewable Power is looking for a Development Executive to monitor and support the successful development of Mainstream’s renewable energy projects in order to deliver sustainable growth. 

You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that the development activities are undertaken in the countries where Mainstream operates to meet the standard set out in MRP’s Global Development standards 

 

The successful candidate will support the environmental assessment (monitoring and audit) process by ensuring that knowledge, best practices and lessons learned during the development phase are captured and shared between regions. 

 

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing best practices and improving processes across the globe together with the regions.  

You will play a central role in the annual review of MRP’s Global Development standards to ensure that they reflect best industry practices. 

  

What you will do? [Key Responsibilities and Activities] 

  • Key member of the Team responsible for the continual improvement and implementation of MRP’s Global Development Standard (GDS) including running an ongoing training series to upskill colleagues on same. 
  • Ensure knowledge sharing amongst the regional and central development teams by participating in regular Regional Development Calls. 
  • Become familiar with the functionality of PPM and Power BI in order to work with colleagues in the gathering of information for the annual audit of development-stage projects. 
  • Project Lead, with the support of the Head of Central Development, in the drafting and implementation of a standard suite of EIA SoWs in conjunction with Regional Development Managers. 
  • Participate in the review of EIA proposals and, participate, as needed, in regional project team meetings during the development phase.   
  • Support the development of projects in Europe and other regions 
  • Interaction with the relevant in-house teams. 
  • Reporting on development stage KPIs 

  

What we require? [Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience] 

  • Direct experience in Wind and Solar PV renewable project development. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the renewables industry. 
  • Degree in environmental science or equivalent. 
  • Knowledgeable in environmental assessment (monitoring and audit) and environmental management systems. 
  • Knowledge of international environmental codes, laws and regulations required to develop projects in line with best international practices. Project-specific ESIA experience would be an advantage. 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, Power BI, etc. 
  • Team Building and good communication skills to be comfortable working in a cross-functional structure. 
  • Fluent English required Spanish proficiency is an advantage. 
  • Process-oriented 
  • Comfortable with detail with strong analytical skills to allow the effective presentation of complex issues.
